If that bad tattoo makes you cringe, you probably want to see it completely gone. The Enlighten™ laser offers the fastest, most comfortable tattoo removal available. Removing your tattoo will usually take more than one treatment, but how many depends on the characteristics of your tattoo.
When you get a tattoo, the artist injects pigment particles into the deeper layers of skin. The body cannot remove these pigments, so your tattoo stays in place. The Enlighten™ laser uses nanosecond and picosecond pulses of energy that strike the pigment particles and fragment them into smaller pieces. The body can remove these smaller particles, filtering them out of the skin and disposing of them. The three wavelengths of the Enlighten™ laser can target more pigment colors than other lasers for faster, more complete removal.
Older or less efficient lasers target darker colors like blue or black, often leaving bright colors behind. The Enlighten™ laser removes more shades of tattoo ink, so you achieve complete removal. Most people will see their tattoo removed completely in eight sessions or less.

As laser tattoo removal experts, we offer more ways to keep you comfortable and relaxed throughout your treatment. We typically use topical numbing cream and cold air for your comfort. The Enlighten™ laser usually does not require any more than this to keep you comfortable, but if you need it, we also offer injected numbing medication or laughing gas (nitrous oxide). A small tattoo may take less than ten minutes, while a larger one may take up to half an hour. You will have treatments spaced four to eight weeks apart.
You may see some redness and blistering over the treated area. This will resolve within a few weeks. Your healing skin needs to avoid sun exposure as much as possible. After treatment, you can resume normal activities but avoid damaging or irritating the recently treated skin.
