Laser tattoo removal can be used to completely remove tattoos, but it can also fade or lighten them so they can be covered up with a new tattoo. It can even remove mistakes or flaws in your current tattoo while letting you keep the parts you like.
Laser tattoo removal vaporizes pigment molecules so they no longer have any color. This process can take several treatments, but almost all tattoos can be completely removed.
Laser tattoo removal uses a light energy to pass through the skin and impact the pigment molecules that make up tattoo ink. The laser shatters these pigments into fragments, causing them to lose their color and allowing the body to remove them.
The Enlighten™ Laser uses two different pulse speeds: picosecond and nanosecond. The speed of this laser means fewer treatments and complete tattoo removal. Lasers can precisely target pigment molecules while avoiding everything else. Different wavelengths of laser energy can target different pigment colors, allowing the Enlighten™to to target more ink colors than other lasers.
Tattoo removal can take time and financial investment, so people want to know they will truly never see their tattoo again. Once tattoo ink pigments have been broken down and removed, they will never come back.

Results will take several treatments, and the skin will need up to eight weeks to recover fully before another treatment. You will feel heat during the procedure, and afterward, your skin may feel sensitive or sore and may blister. This should be minor and go away quickly.
A session may last anywhere from 15-45 minutes. The number of required treatments depends on many factors. Older tattoos with less pigment are easier to remove, as are tattoos with fewer colors. Some pigments resist being broken up and will take time to remove. After every session, you will see less and less of your tattoo. Some tattoos can be gone in as few as two sessions.
