The Enlighten™ Laser produces powerful energy that bypasses your skin and has a powerful effect on pigment molecules. This laser energy targets ink and tattoo pigments in the skin and breaks them apart. This causes them to be flushed away by your body.
Many other tattoo removal systems work well on black, red or dark blue colors but struggle to remove yellow, green, teal or light blue colors. The Enlighten™ Laser’s patented technology removes the entire spectrum of pigment colors and works on all skin types and tones.
The Enlighten™ Laser works more quickly and efficiently than many other lasers, requiring fewer treatments so it saves you money and treatment time. We apply numbing cream to prevent you from feeling any discomfort, and your session will last between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the size of the tattoo. The number of sessions required will vary. Large, brightly colored tattoos will require more sessions to remove than a small, dark tattoo. Your treatments will be spaced several weeks apart so your skin can heal and the body can remove all the broken pigments from the previous treatment.
Each tattoo responds differently to laser tattoo removal, so there are very few guarantees. Fortunately, we offer our NYSV Laser Tattoo Removal Guarantee: if your tattoo is not gone within eight treatment sessions, we will not charge you for any further sessions needed.
After your first session, you should see fading within a few days as the body absorbs the broken ink particles and harmlessly gets rid of them. After each treatment, you will see more fading. Some tattoos may only require a few treatments to remove them, while others may require up to eight or possibly more.
Your skin may become red or develop minor blisters after treatment. This should clear up within a few days to a week. Within a few weeks, your skin will have healed enough to undergo another round of treatment if needed. After each session, you can resume your normal activities with no downtime, although the treated area may feel mildly sore.
